BBC Radio- Designing a World for Everyone

Pattie Moore- an American industrial designer, gerontologist, entrepreneur, and author- visited our Leonard Covello Senior Center with BBC Radio last May. In 1979, Moore, a 26-year-old designer in New York, disguised herself as an 85-year-old woman and took to the streets of America to show how industrial design needed to assist the aging community better. Forty years later, she came back to New York and spoke with some of our members about the isolation many of them feel and how CBN combats that feeling of loneliness with a sense of love and belonging. You can hear Covello members and staff at 14:48 through 17:45 and at the end on the 28-minute clip, with a nice interview of our Covello member, Jenny, singing so lovely. Click here to listen!
