The Buy Local East Harlem initiative has a number of programs and activities to make supporting local business and vendors even easier. Check out the 2nd Annual Shop & Dine East Harlem Campaign for gift ideas for Small Business Saturday, Cyber Monday, and local events. Our own Holiday Pop-Up Market returns on Fridays, December 6 and 13, in the main lobby.

 The campaign is an initiative of the East Harlem Community Alliance, which joins merchants, non-profits, cultural institutions, and anchor institutions together to share ideas, resources, and purchasing power to grow the East Harlem community. Metropolitan CEO Alina Moran is co-chair of the EHCA Buy Committee, which works with neighborhood institutions to encourage increased purchasing and contracting from small businesses in East Harlem.
