On Monday, November, 4th we celebrated our 48 year commitment to providing to fighting isolation among aging New Yorkers with our annual gala. This year we honored fashion icon, role model, innovator and philanthropist Fern Mallis whose commitment to “living her most authentic life” is truly inspiring. Our Executive Director, William J. Dionne captured the night’s message perfectly, “growing older is a reason to celebrate.” Thanks to our Carter Burden Network Singers and Silver Influencers on Aging, businesswoman, interior designer, and fashion icon Iris Apfel; award-winning designer Stan Herman; award-winning filmmaker and journalist as well as former editor at large of Allure Joan Kron; and Tony Award-winning producer Fran Weissler we all truly celebrated the upsides of aging.
